Read every competitor review in two hours

Segmentable collects public reviews of your competitors and turns them into a map: what buyers praise, what they complain about, what nobody covers — and where your opening is. Every quote clicks through to its source.

Brief in 10 minutes · assembly in ~2 hours · every number clicks through to its source

Competitor review analysis means reading the public reviews of other players in your category to learn why customers choose them, what irritates them, and which needs nobody is serving. It is the fastest way to see a market through the buyer’s eyes — no surveys, no panels, no fieldwork budget, because the data is already written by customers themselves.

Reviews are, in effect, customer research the market has already done for you: they say what people will pay for, what annoys them, and what they wish existed. The problem is volume. Hundreds of reviews sit scattered across review sites, marketplaces, app stores and social platforms, and reading them by hand leaves you with an impression of the first page rather than a picture of the market.

Segmentable does the whole job: it finds the platforms where your market talks, collects a corpus of reviews for every competitor, and breaks it into themes with frequencies, sentiment and quotes. You read a structured answer instead of a thousand reviews — and you can open any primary source behind it.

What you get

Complaint and praise map

The themes competitors get praised and blamed for, with frequencies rather than impressions.

Unmet needs

What customers ask for and no player delivers — the zone where you have an opening.

Player-by-player comparison

Sentiment and themes for each competitor side by side: you see who loses customers on what.

Positioning arguments

Ready wording for “we solve what they get complaints about”, backed by real quotes.

Quotes with sources

Every conclusion rests on live reviews, and any quote opens on the platform it came from.

Change over time

How complaint and praise themes moved: what competitors already fixed and what has hurt for years.

How it works

  1. Name your competitors

Or just describe your product — the system finds the players in your market itself.

  2. The system builds the corpus

Review sites, marketplaces, maps, social platforms and media — wherever your market leaves traces.

  3. You read a structured report

Themes, frequencies, sentiment, quotes — with click-through to source behind every number.

Frequently asked questions

Which platforms do the reviews come from?

Review sites, marketplaces, maps, social platforms, industry directories and media — the mix depends on where your market lives. The full source list is visible in the report.

What if my competitors have few reviews?

Then the system widens the frame: adjacent players, reference markets and discussions of the category itself. If the corpus is genuinely thin, the report says so instead of inventing conclusions.

How is this different from asking ChatGPT?

A chat retells what it remembers about a category and cannot show you the review it took a claim from. Here the corpus is collected specifically for your competitors, and every theme opens into the actual quotes behind it.

Can I trust review data at all?

Individual reviews are biased; frequencies across hundreds of them are not. That is why the report works with theme frequency and sentiment distribution rather than with single loud opinions.

How much does it cost to start?

The one-off review analysis starts at $12. A full market model with segments, competitors and channels starts at $79. Dollar checkout is not open yet, so we set the first run up with you directly.

Can I re-run it later?

Yes, and that is the point of keeping it as a project rather than a document: a re-run shows what changed in the complaint themes since last time.
